Machine Operator, Fabrication

The Machine Operator position is responsible for operating and monitoring fabrication equipment to cut, form, drill, or prepare metal components used in the production of dump truck bodies, hoists, and related assemblies. This role ensures parts are produced safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The Machine Operator plays a key role in supporting production flow, maintaining equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Operate production machinery, including Small Press Brake, Large Drill Press, Saw, Large Press Brake, Shear, Plasma Table, and grinders, according to specifications.


• Produce parts within established tolerances and quantities, ensuring quality standards.


• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools and tape measures. 


• Maintain accurate logs of production, including errors and rejected pieces.


• Inspect, set up, align, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.


• Ensure the workspace is clean, safe, and orderly.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.
