Machine Operator II-3rd Shift

Quanex is looking for a Machine Operator II-3rd Shift to join our team located in Thomasville, NC.

The Machine Operator II is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by sorting, grinding, and restocking ground material for reprocessing in the mixing area. The schedule is Sunday-Wednesday 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.

What Success Looks Like:

• Set up, operate, and verify the performance of assigned machines. 


• Accurately label all containers of regrind material. 


• Collect and manage scrap from up to 49 machines per shift. 


• Operate grinding equipment to process scrap by material type and color. 


• Complete required inspection and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) reports. 


• Collaborate with leadership to address any quality concerns in a timely manner. 


• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. 

Your Credentials:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Knowledge of injection molding machines preferred but not required

The hourly wage for this position is $17.00/hr plus $1.00/shift differential.
