Machine Operator, Press

Elmet Technologies is a leading producer of the high-performance metals including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum and niobium.

We are currently sourcing candidates for a Machine Operator for our Pressing department in our Euclid, OH facility. This person will be responsible for the operation and adjustment of mechanical or hydraulic presses.

This is a 3^rd shift position, hours are 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.

Job responsibilities also include, but not limited to:

Starts machine and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
Weigh metal powders to meet engineering requirements.
Operates machine to produce quality product while ensuring quality is being maintained in accordance with customer specifications.
Visually inspect parts for defects
Load parts for furnace operation.
Process product in a timely fashion as set by work standards for each specific job or piece of equipment, while maintaining safe work practices at all times.
Measure and interpret product dimensions and conditions using simple tools as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
Operate and adjust hydraulic press to produce powder compacts.
Utilize measuring devices to ensure compacts meet engineering specifications.

Qualifications:

Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
One year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
