Machine Operator - Teknoweb

About the role

As a Machine Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our production process, playing a vital role in crafting high-quality wet wipes and related products. This role is perfect for someone who’s mechanically inclined, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What you'll do

• Set up, adjust, and operate Teknoweb converting lines
• Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to ensure consistent product quality
• Conduct regular inspections of finished products and packaging
• Ensure all output meets established specifications and quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to maintenance or supervisors as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
• Ensure safe operation of all machinery
• Track usage of production and packaging materials
• Accurately complete production logs, reports, and maintenance records
• Document any deviations or quality concerns
• Notify supervisors of low stock and assist with inventory counts
• Work closely with production leaders, maintenance staff, and quality control teams
• Assist in cross-training new team members to promote versatility and strengthen line performance
• Uphold strong attention to detail in all aspects of production, documentation, and product inspections
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to meeting or exceeding daily production targets
• Support team goals and contribute to a smooth workflow
• Participate in training for new equipment and processes
• Share ideas to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with Teknoweb or similar converting lines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production machinery and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals, including SOPs.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
• Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
• Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods (8–12 hours)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to machinery
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical systems (preferred)
