Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: $18/hour+
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (Overtime as needed; hours may fluctuate based on company needs)

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting various machinery used to process coil steel into flat sheets, which are then cut to length for steel tube manufacturing. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation inspections and activities to ensure proper equipment startup.
• Operate and monitor multiple machines to ensure quality output and minimal downtime.
• Conduct general labor tasks across various shop areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support departments to ensure uninterrupted production and high product quality.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials.
• Adhere strictly to all safety and health regulations.
• Maintain clean machinery and work environment.
• Work within a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment, following standardized processes and safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in various units of measurement).
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
• Able to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early/late shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Frequent lifting/moving of items up to 50 lbs.
• Vision requirements include close, peripheral, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.
• Work environment is typically loud.
