Machine Shop Operator and Helper

Job Title: Machine Shop Operator & Helper (We have 1 position available)
Location: Conroe, TX
Pay Rate: $19-$20 per hour
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Machine Shop Operator & Helper to support the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will assist in machine maintenance, cleanliness, and shop organization. This is a hands-on role that contributes to the efficiency and safety of the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain manufacturing machines, including lathes and material sorters
• Change oil in machines and clean up oil spills promptly
• Remove metal shavings and debris from machines and work areas
• Empty trash and maintain overall cleanliness of the shop
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
• Perform general janitorial duties within the machine shop
• Organize tools, parts, and materials
• Assist machinists with basic tasks such as staging materials, handling parts, and preparing workstations
• Monitor supply levels (e.g., rags, fluids, bins) and notify supervisor when restocking is needed 
• Follow all safety and housekeeping protocols

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a machine shop or janitorial/maintenance role is a plus
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including both day and night schedules
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Willingness to learn and follow instructions
