As a Machinist working for Swisher International, Inc. You will have the opportunity to create state-of-the-art production equipment as well as implement new equipment/machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grinders, lathes, milling machines, and drilling processes


• Read and understand blueprints


• Take precise measurements and make calculations


• Develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications


• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process


• Reverse engineering of replacement equipment parts


• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification


• Completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship – Journeyman Card required


• Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated oral and written communication skills


• Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction


• Collaborative mindset and work style


• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and exposed to warm or cold temperatures


• Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
