Provide programming and machining expertise in support of the Engineering Department and client requests. Program, set up and operate machinery for the fabrication of parts.
Tasks:
Develop CNC programs using MasterCAM for mills based on engineering drawings and models.
Configure tools and ensure efficient production.
Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
Set up and operate CNC equipment.
Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment.
Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure - parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements.
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work.
Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts that are being machined within a .001 tolerance.
Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality.
Skills:
Experience programming in MasterCAM.
Experience using Solidworks
Must have a proficient understanding of G-code programming.
Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines.
Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machining resources for manufacture of parts.
Strong mathematical skills.
Blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities.
Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes.
Able to work under own initiative.
Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach.
Discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5+ years of CNC machining experience
Solidworks and MasterCam experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Stand/Sit Moderate physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. and above.

This position requires activities involving being around moving machinery, loud noises, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
