The Machinist Assistant is an entry-level position for individuals interested in pursuing a career in machine tool technology and/or aerospace technology. You’ll play a vital role in the world of precision machining tool technology and/or aerospace technology. Key Details

• Work Days and Hours: Our normal working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch. Employees can work with their supervisor to have some flexibility in their schedule.
• Location: This is a full-time onsite position located in Addison, TX.
• Compensation based on qualifications and comprehensive benefits package.
• Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

 What you'll do

• Operate (CNC) machines.
• Keep accurate records.
• Maintain equipment.
• Assist in setting up CNC machines when asked.
• Assist with deburring responsibilities when needed.
• Maintain all quality and safety standards.
• Keep work area clean at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of small hand tools.
• Ability to handle parts and tools carefully.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines diligently.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to learn the equipment.
• Ability to learn to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Ability to read and understand the English language.
• Positive interpersonal skills in working with co-workers.
• Reliable and punctual.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Prior machine shop experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Haas and/or Fanuc is a plus.
