Job Summary

RAF Electronic Hardware a part of MW Components is seeking Davenport Machinists to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Davenport screw machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet customer specifications and production standards.

We have 1st and 2nd shift positions.  10% Shift differential for 2nd shift.  Open to flex shift and part-time.  $1000 Sign on Bonus for 1st shift; $1500 for 2nd shift after 6 months of employment.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience in precision manufacturing, and the ability to independently perform machine setups, inspections, and maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate Davenport screw machines, including metal material feeds.


• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Davenport machinery.


• Troubleshoot machine issues and assist other machinists with setups and production challenges.


• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.


• Conduct visual inspections and complete in-process inspection documentation.


• Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, verniers, thread gauges, and micrometers.


• Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.


• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.


• Follow all quality standards, operating procedures, and customer requirements.


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.


• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.


• Minimum 2 years of experience setting up and operating manual lathe machines or similar equipment.


• Minimum 2 years of experience in precision component manufacturing.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.


• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.

Preferred

• Minimum 2 years of experience setting up and operating Davenport machines.


• Screw machine experience highly preferred.


• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery.

Skills & Competencies
