Machinist Helper

Essential Functions

· Basic computer skills 

· Supports our company's machinist manufacturing department with various duties. 

· Clean and wash parts as needed for inspection.

· Clear chip hopper as needed.

· Clean and set up tools as needed.

· Will operate band saw, overhead crane and forklift as needed.

· Material handling. 

· Frequent standing, bending, lifting and reaching 

· Other duties as assigned by management. 

Work Environment

· Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles

· Frequent standing for long periods of time

· Exposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditions

· Moderate noise levels

Experience / Knowledge

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Authorized to work in the United States

· Previous machinist helper experience desired

· Forklift certification

· Overhead crane experience

· Good oral communication skills

· Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
