Machinist II

Your responsibilities will include: Reviews job packages by reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches or drawings to identify design impracticalities and begin to formulate production process. Clarifies design feasibility issues with engineers to ensure parts are machined to meet specifications. Determines sequence of operation, number and type of cuts required, and method of set-up. Prepares parts for machining, programs computer and milling machines, and operates variety of manual and automatic machines. Monitors parts through production by visual observation and referencing blueprints to ensure products meet specifications. Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines. Repairs malfunctioning shop equipment and machines. 2 years of related experience High School Degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience
