This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.\n\nWe are excited for you to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements being made in the missile defense industry.\n\nThis position will work a 9x80 A-Shift, with every other Friday off.\n\nJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n * Responsible for quality of the product by performing both in-process and final part inspections\n\n * Care and maintenance of the equipment\n\n * Assuring tooling and materials readiness\n\n * Maintaining a clean and safe work environment\n\n * Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization\n\n * Proven track record training mid to upper skill level machine operators\n\n * Strong attention to detail and accuracy\n\n * Ability to prioritize\n\n * Excellent time management skills\n\n * Ability to work independently Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment\n\n * Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence\n\n * High energy, results oriented, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player \n\n * Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\nThis position can be filled at either a Level 1 or Level 2.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 1:\n\n * High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience. \n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance\n\n * A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and/or a certificate in machine shop technology\n\n * Candidate must have 2+ years\u2019 experience on 3 Axis CNC machines\n\n * Must have experience running manual machines and performing set-ups\n\n * Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English)\n\n * Ability to read and interpret blueprints\n\n * Experience in following written set-up instructions and /or performing unique set-ups\n\n * Perform other related work assignments special projects, and other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor or Shift Lead\n\n * Able to work overtime and weekends as required\n\n * Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods\n\n * Able to lift or move a minimum of 35 -50 lbs. for up to 12 hours per day; pushing or pulling 35 -50+ lbs. occasionally throughout the workday\n\n * Must be a U.S. citizen\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 2:\n\n * High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. \n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance\n\n * A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and/or a certificate in machine shop technology\n\n * Candidate must have 2+ years\u2019 experience on 3 Axis CNC machines\n\n * Must have experience running manual machines and performing set-ups\n\n * Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English)\n\n * Ability to read and interpret blueprints\n\n * Experience in following written set-up instructions and /or performing unique set-ups\n\n * Perform other related work assignments special projects, and other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor or Shift Lead\n\n * Able to work overtime and weekends as required\n\n * Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods\n\n * Able to lift or move a minimum of 35 -50 lbs. for up to 12 hours per day; pushing or pulling 35 -50+ lbs. occasionally throughout the workday\n\n * Must be a U.S. citizen\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Experience machining energetic materials a plus. \n\n * Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, \u0026 HAAS Controllers preferred\n\n * Ability to understand and work with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and disciplines\n\n * Expert in GD\u0026T, experience with CAD model interpretation and translation into Mastercam preferred.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $72,300.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
