Machinist (Carbide Grinder) - 2nd shift - Positions (3) - Canton, OH - JOB 24-00282
Hourly Range: $22.00 - $40.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits
Busy Canton Machining Company seeks experienced Machinist -Carbide Grinders who have solid math skills to include Knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
2 nd shift is 4:30 pm – 3:00 am, Mon – Fri. There is also a $2.00/HR shift differential for 2 nd shift.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, Machining on-the-job experience and/or certification from appropriate vocational school.
- Candidates must be able to read blueprints and work instructions, set-up and operate grinding machines such as surface and universal.
- Candidates will select grinding wheels according to specifications (shape & grade), adjust bevel and taper, select cutting tool speed and feed rate, measure sharpened cutting tool to meet specifications, designs, modifies, makes and repairs special tooling, brazes or solders carbide tips to cutting tools.
- Candidates should have solid knowledge of machine tools and materials.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
