Machinist/Toolmaker

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, is looking for an experienced Machinist/Toolmaker to join our innovative machine shop. The Machinist/Toolmaker is a self-driven individual who has great attention for detail and is proficient at multitasking. The ideal candidate will perform the programming and operation of various machine tools.

How you will make an impact:

• Will be exposed to multiple machines and controllers including HAAS, Mazak and DMG-Mori on 3 to 5 axis machining centers and mill turns in prototype machine shop environment
• Be fluent with SolidWorks, SolidCam or other comparable CAD/CAM software
• Program, set up and operate machining centers, lathes, and EDM grinders as jobs dictate
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

• 10 years’ machining experience
• Experienced with the set-up and operation of milling machines, lathes, CNC machines, grinders and precision measuring equipment
• Must have familiarity and skill with all the commonly used machine tools
• Familiarity with injection mold fabrication and assembly, including precision form grinding and fitting 
• Should be comfortable with Solidworks and Solidcam, as well as 3 and 4  axis machining
• Sinker and wire EDM experience a plus
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading
• Be able to maintain a clean and organized work environment
