Job Description - MA/CNA - PT- Delta

Position Summary: Delta Family Medicine is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our rural family medicine team. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by supporting providers in both clinical and administrative duties, ensuring patient comfort, and contributing to the clinic’s cost-efficiency and service goals. This is a busy clinic environment, and the successful candidate must be able to multitask efficiently and follow through on assigned duties to completion. Additional training will be provided as needed to meet the evolving needs of the clinic.


 


Essential Job Functions: Welcome and prepare patients for their visit, ensuring a calm and supportive experience Accurately measure and record patient vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen saturation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Administer injections and assist with in-office procedures as directed by the provider Communicate clinical and lab results to patients under provider instruction Manage medication prior authorizations by coordinating with pharmacies and insurance providers Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR in accordance with clinical protocols and HIPAA standards Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and organized for efficient patient care Attend mandatory monthly staff meetings Prioritize tasks and daily responsibilities to support clinic-wide cost-saving goals and workflow efficiency


 


Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred Certification as a Medical Assistant (if required by the state of Utah) CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting preferred Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and complete assignments in a fast-paced environment


 


Hours: M-F 8:45-5:30 pm. Days will vary but will be 2 days one week and 3 the following week.
