YOUR DAY AS A MAILROOM/MTA SITE SUPERVISOR

As the new Mailroom/MTA Site Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing the mail receipt and delivery services for our clients, as well as assigning tasks to your team and overseeing planning, organizing, directing, and controlling services. You're also responsible for recruiting staff, interviewing team members, and training them to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their job duties to the best of their ability. Your ability to lead and motivate a team, as well as your attention to detail and ability to coordinate with project management, are critical in ensuring the efficient provision of services to MTA Headquarters and FDNY!

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A MAILROOM/MTA SITE SUPERVISOR?

• 3+ years of experience supervising mailroom/messenger service operations or in a similar environment
• 2 years of college or equivalent experience
• Competency in mailroom operations and logistics assignments for messenger services
• Knowledge of operation of mailroom equipment such as mail meters, printers, sealers, etc.
• Knowledge about vehicle maintenance
• Knowledge about US Postal, Fedex, and UPS regulations
• Computer skills with Microsoft Suite
