Mainframe Engineer

ESI is seeking a qualified Mainframe Engineer to support the mission of one of our customers by enhancing and maintaining mainframe applications. This contract aims to secure an experienced developer with a strong background in COBOL, CICS, TSO, and JCL to ensure the effective operation of their systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

The contractor will provide services as a Mainframe Engineer, which includes:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications.
- Troubleshooting issues and optimizing code.
- Writing and maintaining JCL for batch job processing.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in COBOL, CICS, TSO, and JCL. Familiarity with CA-IDEAL and CA Datacomm is considered a plus.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this role.

BA/BS Preferred.
