Maintenance

REPORTS TO:   Facilities Manager
WORK WEEK:   40 hours per week or as needed to accomplish tasks.
WAGE CLASSIFICATION:  Hourly
OSHA RISK CLASSIFICATION: High

SUMMARY POSITION STATEMENT
The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the Facilities Manager in maintaining interior, exterior, and PCHS properties as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

• Manual labor support for Facilities Manager.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and supplies. 
• Effectively communicates on a regular and timely basis.
• Provides janitorial support as directed.
• Makes (or facilitates) repairs as directed.
• Provides grounds keeping for all seasons as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.  

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

• Builds skills on building related functions.
• May work with 3rd party vendors in completing tasks if directed.
• Identify and report major repair needs to Facilities Manager.
• Maintain operational standards consistent with regulatory requirements of PCHS.
• Represent the organization in a positive way.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:  High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:  General job skill experience.
Job Requirements:

• Possess basic understanding of OSHA
• Willing to learn basic skills of electrical, plumbing, other commercial building systems, and carpentry skills.
• Possess “people skills” and enjoy working in a health care setting.
• Be able to operate computer system and possess basic computer skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze maintenance needs and offer creative improvements.
• Demonstrate initiative and responsibility.
• Active driver’s license is required.
• Tools and equipment will be provided by the organization.
