In this role, you'll dive deeper into the world of manufacturing engineering, equipment reliability, and operational excellence. You'll expand your expertise in automation, preventative maintenance strategies, and data-driven decision-making while identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing performance.
Through collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Safety, you'll gain valuable insight into how engineering and maintenance influence the entire manufacturing process. You'll also have the opportunity to strengthen your leadership capabilities, guide technical talent, and contribute to equipment and capital planning initiatives that support Qwikkit's continued growth.
As our Maintenance & Engineering Manager, your contributions will directly influence how efficiently and reliably our manufacturing operations perform. Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical leadership role.
Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with PLC programs and fault codes, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and diagnose complex equipment failures.
Experience implementing and improving preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability strategies, and TPM initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Proficiency with CAD software for equipment layouts, plant planning, and installation requirements.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold technical teams accountable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on equipment performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across manufacturing and operational teams.
A strong commitment to workplace safety, operational accountability, and timely problem resolution.
A hands-on leadership approach with a willingness to be actively involved on the production floor.
Qualifications Desired but Not Required:
Experience with industrial automation design and implementation.
Experience managing capital improvement projects and maintenance budgets.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and equipment performance analytics.
Experience developing tooling life management and critical spare parts programs.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or related manufacturing environments.
