Job Summary:

Pen Manufacturing, a global leader in sheet metal fabrication, is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Technician to join our high-performing team in Anaheim, CA. This hybrid role is essential to ensuring all equipment, systems, and facilities are running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. From machinery repair and preventive maintenance to facility upkeep, janitorial duties, and special projects, this technician will be hands-on in supporting daily operations in a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fabrication equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical components.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Disassemble and reassemble machines for repair and upgrades.
• Install and integrate new production equipment with existing systems.

Facilities & Building Maintenance

• Conduct facility inspections and complete general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to assist in materials handling and facility operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment including cleaning floors, restrooms, vents, machines, and supply areas.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety protocols, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Identify and report hazards or maintenance issues to prevent safety risks.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with AS9100/ISO standards and regulations.

Inventory & Documentation

• Monitor maintenance supply inventory and reorder parts and materials as needed.
• Maintain accurate repair logs, maintenance history, and cost tracking documentation.
• Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules and tracking systems.

Team Collaboration & Support

• Train and support team members in proper machine maintenance and facility procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with production and management to reduce downtime and maximize productivity.
• Take ownership of special projects as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance and/or facilities technician role in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts and basic facility equipment.
• Familiar with cleaning procedures, chemicals, and safety practices.
• Experience working under AS9100/ISO standards preferred.
• Willingness to work night shifts as needed.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, climbing, bending) throughout the shift.
