Position Summary: The Maintenance Assistant supports the maintenance team with basic tasks, general upkeep, and simple duties to help keep the facility clean, safe, and in working order. This is an entry-level role with on-the-job learning and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Basic Facility Support
Assist with simple tasks like changing light bulbs and restocking supplies.
Help move tools, equipment, and furniture as directed.
Run errands or deliver items within the facility.
Light painting tasks
Light Cleaning Duties
Sweep, mop, or tidy up work areas as needed.
Empty trash bins and assist with recycling duties.
Wipe down surfaces and keep storage areas organized.
Support Senior Maintenance Staff
Hold tools, carry materials, and assist during minor repair jobs.
Follow instructions carefully and ask questions when unsure.
Help keep workspaces safe and free of hazards.
Routine Checks
Walk around the building to check for basic issues like burned-out lights, leaks, or spills.
Report any problems to the maintenance supervisor immediately.
Safety & Cleanliness
Always follow safety rules and wear proper gear (like gloves or safety glasses).
Skills & Qualifications:
No prior experience required training provided on the job.
Willingness to learn and follow directions.
Reliable and punctual.
Able to do light physical work (lifting up to 30 lbs, standing for periods of time).
Friendly, team-oriented attitude.

$20 - $22 per hour, 40 hours per week
