Maintenance Associate

Summary:

The Maintenance Associate’s job responsibilities include: repairing and maintaining the interior and exterior of International Shoppes various locations while following Company standards for quality, cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and safety and security.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the interior and exterior of the Valley Stream office, warehouse and store locations (JFK Airport) are well maintained.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, caulking, carpet/floor cleaning, polishing fixtures, etc.
• Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, office furniture, fixtures and other items in the warehouse, offices or stores.
• Perform duties within the company’s preventative maintenance program.
• Report major repair needs to the Project & Facilities Manager.
• Assist Visual Team, when not working on maintenance projects, with providing fixture dimensions, photos, minor visual installations, etc.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance related fields.
• Must have an excellent sense of safety procedures

Requirements:

• Must have basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills.
• Must display excellent organization and time management skills.
• Must pass airport security background check.
• May participate in semi-annual inventory.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist the majority of the day.
