Job Title: Maintenance Team Member (MTM)
Reports To: Club Manager
Expected Results: In Support of the Genesis Intentional Culture
1. Purpose: The MTM operates in accordance with the Genesis Purpose, treating staff as family and working diligently to help people take charge of their health!
2. Mission: The MTM ensures the Genesis Mission is executed to the fullest extent within the club, fulfilling the commitment we make to members regarding the quality of their club experience and our ownership of their health and fitness results.
3. Values: The MTM behaves in accordance with the Genesis Values, setting the bar for the standards and principles of behavior that are essential to fulfilling the company’s Purpose and executing its Mission.
4. Tools: The MTM uses the Genesis Awareness, Communication, and Conflict Resolution Tools to facilitate effective operations throughout the club.
5. Brand Absolutes: The MTM models all five Genesis Brand Absolutes, supporting and building a positive reputation of the Genesis Brand in the community.
Expected Results:In Support of Department Performance & Member Experience
· The MTM conducts routine and thorough inspections of the equipment and facilities according to club schedule, affixes the appropriate maintenance signage with repair ETA, and communicates the status of items daily to the Club Manager.
· The MTM diagnoses issues on equipment or facility items to determine necessary repairs.
· The MTM is resourceful, looking for ways to do more with less.
· The MTM utilizes the ticketing system daily, prioritizing safety and member experience items appropriately; the MTM closes tickets in real time after completing repairs.
· The MTM submits parts requests using the appropriate ticketing system and follows up on the requests daily.
· The MTM removes or installs necessary appliances and equipment.
· The MTM performs routine preventative maintenance on fitness equipment, RTUs, kitchen equipment according to outlined procedures.
· The MTM maintains the property grounds, including yard upkeep, trimming bushes and trees, collecting trash, etc.
· The MTM completes regular facility “aesthetic” tasks, repairing damage to walls, painting, replacing lightbulbs, carpet or flooring repair, electrical fixtures, etc.
· The MTM collaborates with the CM, Regional Director and outside service professionals to ensure the club facilities meet Brand standards 100% of the time.
· The MTM engages with members & team in a professional and supportive manner.
Position Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications – Maintenance Team Member
· Minimum of one year professional experience in general facility maintenance, fitness equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing or related field.
· HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or CPO certification(s) preferred.
· Ability to run Excel, Word, Outlook and other software packages used by the company.
· Demonstrated ability to build culture and operate in a team environment.
· Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
Requirements – Maintenance Team Member
· This position has an allotment of hours with a variable schedule; the ability to work days, evenings, overnights, and weekends according to the needs of the club is required.
· Reliable transportation to and from work.
· This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress; all candidates must be prepared and capable of adapting to such conditions.
· This position requires physical exertion indoors and outdoors; standing, walking, lifting, handling, thinking, problem solving, and calculating are all required and often constant.
