About the Role

Installers create Organization, Beauty & Joy for our customers. It’s what we do and how we do it that sets Closet America apart from its competitors, making us the largest locally owned business of its kind in the DMV. Installation Helpers go through intensive classroom and on-the-job training, working to the highest levels of their capability, with the goal of quickly elevating to the Installer level.

· Empty dust collector bags/bins with emphasis on minimizing downtime of machinery.

· Empty rolling collection bins while maintaining available bins at Routers and saws at all times

· Regular cycle of vacuuming all surfaces to include dust collector piping, walls, and any surface where dust accumulates

· Coordinate with dumpster removal to clean surrounding area

· Organize returned pallets so that they are organized and not placed throughout shop

· Facilitate the return of part carts to start of production line once empty, maintain and repair carts as necessary

· Assist in moving completed pallets from pack-out to finished goods rack, as needed

· Help build production stacks

· Replenish consumables at pack-out stations

· Proper shut down of compressed air and dust collection systems

· Aid receiving staff as necessary

· Sweeping and vacuuming floors

· Empty all trash cans

· Make sure all dust collectors are empty enough to begin production next day

· Manually drain compressed air holding tanks to minimize water and corrosion build up

· Clearing remake bins of defective parts

Key Qualifications

· Education & Experience: High School Diploma

· Computer Skills: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Mechanical Aptitude - N/A
