Maintenance Coordinator (M-F 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm plus on call rotation)

Description

This position oversees the performance of a wide range of facilities and maintenance services for all property sites owned or operated by the agency. This includes troubleshooting, repairs of facilities and equipment, as well as supervision of the maintenance assistants. *This position will be working at both our Caz Manor (Buffalo) and Turning Point House (Eden) locations*

Responsibilities

• Monitors and coordinates maintenance and repairs of all building electrical facilities and systems; heating, ventilation, and cooling systems; boilers; and plumbing systems; performs mid-level technical maintenance and repair tasks as appropriate.
• Provides supervision and training to the Maintenance Assistants.
• Recommends and develops appropriate policies and procedures to improve and maintain all facilities and properties. Assists in the implementation of agency policies and procedures and upholds existing policies and procedures.
• Conducts regular physical inspections of all agency properties to ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements; including fire alarms, sprinklers and fire extinguishers.
• Conducts regular physical inspections of all agency properties for ongoing maintenance, repair needs, and any emergency conditions that need to be addressed.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and oversees resolution of routine maintenance problems, such as structural problems, cabinet repair, or basic mechanical or other equipment malfunctions.
• Oversees and coordinates routine maintenance activities for the agency including snow removal or other tasks as required

Requirements

• Two year college degree and at least three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Must possess valid New York State driver’s license.
• It is preferable that the applicant has a license or certificate in several of the following areas:
• Journeyman or higher Plumber’s license from a municipality
• Fire Safety Inspector certificate
• HVAC Certification
• Electrician License
• Building Inspector
