Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall upkeep and preventative maintenance of the nursing facility building, grounds, equipment, and safety systems in accordance with state and federal regulations. This position ensures the physical environment is safe, functional, homelike, and supportive of quality resident care. The Maintenance Director plans and performs preventative maintenance, directs maintenance staff and collaborates with facility leadership to maintain compliance with life safety code standards. Maintenance Director will also be responsible for training and educating team members on items related to the environment/facility as needed. This include changes to policy or regulation that pertains to the facility/environment. The Maintenance Director will be in charge of ensuring all repairs are accomplished promptly. Vendors providing services to the facility such as but not limited to, fire sprinkler repairs, generator maintenance, and cable services must be overseen by the Maintenance Director. All documentation and logs must be accurate and current to ensure regulatory compliance. All services tracked and preformed by the Maintenance Director must follow adhere to budgeting criteria. A professional relationship must be upheld towards other team members, surveyors, vendors, residents and their family members. Maintenance Director will be expected to perform all duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• San Antonio, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)


• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.


• Previous experience with Skilled Nursing Facility maintenance, preferred.


• Physical & sensory abilities commensurate with this position to include but not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.


• Good communications skills & ability to work with a Team of professionals.
