MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR – Full-Time – Generations at Neighbors, in Byron, IL

Generations at Neighbors, an Award Winning Skilled Nursing facility in Byron, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Maintenance Director. This is a Full-Time position with a Salary of between $50-$52k, Plus a Full Benefit Package. The Schedule is M-F, from 8am – 4:30pm

The Maintenance Director’s primary role is to maintain the orderly functioning of all equipment in the facility including the kitchen, laundry, heating, air conditioning and elevators, as well as purchasing necessary supplies for repairs, maintenance and emergencies while

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Director:

• Maintain the facility including repairs of resident areas and facility property
• Implement a preventative maintenance program
• Assure the proper maintenance and running condition of all appliances and machinery, laundry equipment, forced air units, air handlers, boilers and heating units in the boiler room, sump pumps, emergency generator, fire alarms and elevators
• Supervise all repairs, construction, renovation, and remodeling and routine maintenance of the building and all department equipment
• Adhere to established fire, disaster, safety, infection control and evacuation policies and procedures

Requirements

of the Maintenance Director:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Maintenance Director or Supervisor in a Long-Term Care facility
• Knowledge of basic repairs and equipment with relation to a hospital or nursing home setting
• A high school diploma or G.E.D
• A valid Illinois Driver’s License
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties
• Must have good problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities
• Be personable and professional with residents, families and staff and a team-player
