Business Unit: Fort Mill
Job Summary: Maintains and installs equipment and machinery used in production and manufacturing. Maintain plant equipment and facilities to meet operating requirements and objectives, during and outside of regular operation schedules and maintenance. Balance multiple tasks to completion based on plant priority. responsible for, but not limited to general plant electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrading electrical equipment for product packaging; installation and repair of process flow, level, pressure and temperature transmitters; and working with Managers on installations and commissioning. Able to work independently as well as with a team and able to train and mentor less experienced colleges to develop teams.

Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00PM
On call rotation will be a period of one week.
Essential Job Functions:
Inspect, maintain, repair, and install electrical components
Maintain HVAC systems
Connect wiring in electrical circuits ensuring compatibility of components
Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair damaged units
Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
Inspect electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
Diagnosing and correcting problems associated with equipment such as stretch wrappers, CNC machine, punch pressers, powder coat and gun machines
Assisting the operators and supervisors with troubleshooting and repairing equipment that's holding out a process
Setup and commission instrumentation for flow, level, pressure, and temperature.
Perform electrical preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment.
Document work and time
Follow prescribed safety policies, procedures and standards in completion of assigned tasks
Complete all required inspections, audits, work orders and reports
Communicate and document hazards and substandard conditions and/or acts
Immediately correct substandard conditions and acts to the best of your ability
Full compliance with plant, state and federal safety regulations and general work rules
Use of proper lock-out procedure and personal protective equipment.
Responds to emergency breakdown and repairs which may occur outside operating hours
Maintain good housekeeping
Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Meet or exceed company safety standards
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Maintain awareness of new systems and techniques in order to upgrade existing equipment and processes
Follow safety procedures and work carefully at all times to prevent injuries and avoid damage to company property
Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers to achieve company goals and objectives
Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities:
Prefer associates degree or equivalent in electrical maintenance experience
High School Diploma required
2-5 years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading electrical equipment.
Knowledge & experience with machine automation (troubleshooting and maintenance)
2-5 years experience calibrating instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, etc.
2+ years working in manufacturing environment.
Comfortable troubleshooting with a digital multimeter
Experience troubleshooting 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC.
Lift more than 25 – 50 pounds
Must be willing & able to work some weekends and holidays.
Must be willing to work "on call" rotation.
5 years electrical maintenance experience
Power distribution experience or understanding up to 4,160 volts
Bilingual a plus
Experience reading and interpreting documents such as mechanical, and electrical prints or schematics.
3 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing plant, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment as well as maintaining the building and grounds.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, job related internet research, and experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
Proficiency in operating electric or propane-fueled forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
