Maintenance Electrician

Description

As a maintenance electrician you will maintain the electrical systems within our facilities and also perform general maintenance as needed. You will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections, perform routine electrical maintenance and respond to faults and wiring issues as they arise.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Electrician qualification certificate
• proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code
• Strong problem solving skills
• Physically strong and able to stand for long periods of time
• Good communication skills
• Ability to trouble shoot drives - AC and DC
• Troubleshooting and repair of various types of light fixtures
• Ability to plan, troubleshoot, repair, fill out requisitions for items that need to be sent for repair, and new part requirements with proper specifications
• Perform installation and maintenance of power distribution systems, AC and DC electric motors, PLC's, AC and DC variable speed drive systems and motion control(Servo) systems
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring installations
• Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC based equipment
• Perform schedule preventive maintenance activities on equipment
• Maintain appropriate documentation
• Must possess the ability to be flexible and work independently
