Maintenance Engineer

We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join the team at Sojourn Suites! Our hotel is on the brink of an exciting transformation. While it might be a bit dated right now, we're kicking off a major renovation over the next year, and we'll soon emerge as a brand-new Hyatt branded hotel. We need someone enthusiastic to grow with us through this incredible journey, helping us provide excellent guest experiences during the transition and contributing to our future success as a Hyatt property, 

The Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in assuring product quality through preventative maintenance of rooms/suites.

Estimated Hours: 

Tuesday - Saturday 3p - 11:30p

Responsibilities: 

• Responds promptly and follows through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner


• Troubleshoots and repairs basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms/suites


• Conducts preventative maintenance on all guest room/suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment


• Inspects plumbing regularly


• Takes care of the hotel's lighting needs


• Ensures all appliances are working correctly 


• Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training


• Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking and blueprint reading


• Ability to read, write and speak English


• Basic Math skills


• Basic computer skills
