Maintenance Engineer

Chico Hot Springs is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to help keep our historic property running smoothly. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and works across all departments to support daily operations.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to maintenance calls across the property


• Perform repairs (plumbing, HVAC, heating, guest rooms, general maintenance)


• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment


• Take daily readings on equipment, meters, and temperatures


• Assist with irrigation, landscaping, and general labor as needed


• Complete routine maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and plumbing


• Communicate with departments on maintenance needs and updates


• Respond to emergency situations as needed


• Help manage parts, materials, and supply needs

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years in maintenance, engineering, or facilities


• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs


• Hotel or resort experience preferred


• HVAC/CFC certification a plus


• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
