The JOB: Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the resort's facilities, engineering systems, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the property's physical infrastructure while working closely with internal departments and external vendors. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to completing repairs accurately, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to resort operations. Your efforts will directly contribute to providing an exceptional and seamless guest experience while preserving the beauty, safety, and functionality of the resort.

 Experience:

• Three years of experience in the facilities maintenance engineering, preferably in hospitality or property management
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and nights
• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to use the computer
• Maintain all equipment and systems consistent with the preventative maintenance program to insure minimal downtime
• Prioritize and complete maintenance work orders timely and accurately, ensuring that the items that can create the largest exposure are done first
• Complete maintenance work orders, such as clogged toilets, drywall repair, electrical, plumbing in a timely manner and consistent with the hotel’s standard operating procedure
• Respond to guest requests, including maintenance emergencies timely and efficiently
• Conduct yourself in a professional and friendly manner, when interacting with the hotel guests and always maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Complete paperwork and file in the appropriate files upon completion of service/maintenance work requests
• Able to diagnose problems using meters and gauges, and other measuring units
• Ensure the curb appeal of the grounds and buildings are maintained and all debris is removed by completion of daily walk throughs and inspections
• Manage inventory levels and inform management if supplies are low and need to be ordered
• Ensure that safety and security protocols are followed and report any deficiencies that could impact the hotel, guests or other team members
• Insure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional

• Ability to squat and bend
• Ability to work long hours as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance, up to 100 with assistance
