Maintenance Floorcare- The Marquardt

JOB SUMMARY:

Primary duties include routine preventive and corrective maintenance on floors; janitorial duties as assigned; operation and maintenance of floor maintenance equipment. Will provide on shift support to maintenance requests during shift as assigned. Will provide transportation assistance and transport for resident needs as scheduled.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
• Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
• Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
• Mop and burnish hard surface floors as assigned.
• Shower-scrub, strip and finish hard surface floors as assigned.
• Vacuum, shampoo and extract carpets as assigned.
• Responsible for following scheduled cleaning as outlined in maintenance policies and procedures and as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of all housekeeping chemicals and equipment and their purpose.
• Position will hold the maintenance emergency line during shift. If emergency assistance is required outside of role/responsibility, will contact the on-call maintenance technician. 
• Will perform transportation of residents as requested during shift.
• Will read and adhere to MMS resident rights agreement and report any violations of it immediately.
• Will treat residents, families and other staff with dignity and respect.
• Will use proper body mechanics & follow safety rules in the performance of all tasks.
• Will not operate equipment or perform tasks without proper training/instruction.
• Performs other duties, as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• At least 18 years of age. High school degree required.
• 1 year of previous floor maintenance experience preferred.
