Maintenance Generalist - TEMPORARY

1st Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

This is a temporary position not to exceed December 30, 2026

The Maintenance Generalist will work as part of the Facilities Team, responsible for various custodial tasks, local material pickups, loading and delivering scrap to local vendors, and light demolition and construction cleanup. They will provide support to fellow teammates and should possess a positive attitude, willingness to work in a team environment, and general facilities maintenance knowledge.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Remove cardboard and rubbish from production areas to ensure all remain neat and organized.


• Break down of shipping materials and sort according to recycling or waste streams; cardboard, foam packing, plastic bags, and pallets.


• Bale cardboard by using compactor baling equipment, and prepare for recycling


• Collect recycling around the campus and coordinate pickups with Waste Management


• Handle paper recycling and document shredder with external contractors. 


• Data collection and recording for tracking of trash and recycling amounts.


• Pallet collection and sorting


• Material pickups from local vendors


• Snow removal (on call)


• Assist trades in internal construction projects


• Local delivery and drop offs


• Provide support to fellow teammates as needed.


• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations, and maintain necessary safety and training records.


• Play an active role in environmental waste management and compliance.


• Occasionally performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Job Requirements: 

• Must have a valid drivers license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check


• Experience running hydraulic cardboard baler, or ability to learn the task


• Experience running a fork truck, or ability to learn the task


• Basic skills using hand tools, pallet jacks, and fork trucks


• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet all day


• Must be a team player and self-starter

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
