Job Description - Maintenance / Handyman

About the Role:

Join our dynamic team at La Quinta Inn & Suites McKinney as a Maintenance / Handyman! In this vital role, you will ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable and safe stay by maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues and necessary repairs.

Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.

Assist in the upkeep of outdoor areas, including landscaping and parking lot maintenance.

Collaborate with team members to complete larger repair projects and renovations.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Document maintenance activities and report any major issues to management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance is a plus.

Proven experience as a maintenance worker or handyman in a hotel or similar environment.

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and facilities.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
