Position Overview

We are hiring a Maintenance Helper to support the upkeep and functionality of machining, welding, and fabrication equipment. The Maintenance Helper will assist the maintenance team with repairs, inspections, and daily support tasks to ensure machinery and facility systems run efficiently in a fast-paced steel production environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Experience in manufacturing or steel fabrication preferred
• Commitment to safety protocols at all times

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of plasma cutters, plate rollers, press brakes, and CNC machines
• Support welding and fabrication teams by maintaining tools and workspaces
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Perform basic repairs including lubricating machinery, tightening fittings, and replacing worn parts
• Aid in setup and calibration of equipment for operations
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas
• Track and manage maintenance supplies and tools
• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards as a dedicated Maintenance Helper
