Position Summary:
Maintenance II will work independently while at the same time possessing the ability to accomplish the tasks required efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance II is someone who is self-motivated and willing to step in and help wherever necessary. The goal is to maintain the Greenhouse, Warehouses and Other Structures in the best possible condition always – including all systems serving these areas. Travel 10%
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Must have 3-5 year in general construction field. Must have minimum 3-5 years in greenhouse maintenance field.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Must be willing to work long hours and weekends and be on call during peak seasons and some holidays
Have experience with mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, and industrial fabrication
Able to perform the duties of a Maintenance I
Ability to install, diagnose, repair, wire and maintain a variety of production and building equipment. Intermediate welding experience in stick and wire feed welders.
Able to use measuring tools like rulers, tapes, squares, power tools etc.
Must be able to read and write
Employee must be able to follow a series of directions Able to follow complex instructions
Capable of performing routine math calculations, including percentages and fractions.
Must be detail oriented and thorough in their work
Always maintain a professional attitude
Complete jobs in an efficient and safe manner
Should be able to follow oral or written instructions
Able to communicate effectively in written or oral form
Be able to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationship
Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements, on-site safety, and cleanliness (minimum certification of OSHA 10 required)
Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to minimize equipment downtime
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment
Keep accurate work records and turn in paperwork daily or as required. Maintain detailed records of all repairs, as well as parts invoices that were required for the repairs.
Ability to meet tight schedules
Able to drive a tractor, forklift, aerial equipment, and trucks.
Ability to quickly address critical and urgent situations in a timely and consistent manner
Valid CA Driver License
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision. Able to work both inside and outside with hot and cold environments. Possible exposure to dust and pollen.

Compensation: $21.00-$26.00
