Maintenance Lead - Commercial Facility

We are seeking Maintenance Lead to support us in overseeing and managing of a commercial facility.  

In this role, you will support facility operations and directing maintenance staff and vendors to ensure process are clearly defined and effectively implemented to support a safe and operable facility. The Maintenance Lead trains and instructs the on-site maintenance staff and participates in the diagnosis of problems and repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other areas as needed. Please note this a FT Regular position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead maintenance initiatives onsite, including programing, planning, and executing on facility systems maintenance and repair.

• Inspect facility and equipment to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, and type and number of operation and maintenance personnel or vendors needed.


• Ensure work completed by staff and/or contractors has been completed satisfactorily. Provide feedback, set expectations, follow up on deficiencies.

• Troubleshoot failed equipment and provide recommended repair methods.


• Assist in minor repairs on general facility equipment and systems (i.e. electrical, plumbing, doors, gate systems, HVAC, conveyance, etc.).


• Coordinate and manage major repairs and project work with vendors.


• Train and mentor Maintenance Technicians as needed.

• Ensure the facility is safe, in good repair, and attractive.


• Assist with operations and ensuring the facility is in compliance with all regulations.


• Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns.


• Foster positive communications and relationship with tenants, owners, and building staff.


• Coordinate with team to assist in the preparation of the annual maintenance budget.

• Respond appropriately to urgent, emergency, or after-hour issues as they arise.


• Track work performed through a computer maintenance management system (CMMS).


• Use organizational skills to keep work areas, parts inventory, and tools neat and accountable.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification or Degree in Maintenance Management or similar field, or equivalent experience preferred. May be substituted with High School Diploma and 4 years of experience in a similar maintenance management role.


• Two + years of experience of related industry maintenance work.


• Comprehensive knowledge of facility equipment and facility maintenance programs and procedures.


• Strong knowledge of safety principles and practices.


• Considerable knowledge of PC operations and software are required. Proficient typing skills are also required.
