Maintenance Manager

As a maintenance manager for this company, you will oversee a small team coordinating and leading their comprehensive maintenance operations, ensuring optimal safety standards, operational efficiency, and cost-effective resource management. They need someone who can provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to support maintenance functions across a major precast concrete manufacturing facility. While it is a leadership role, you will need to show you can execute hands-on equipment repairs, conduct critical system inspections as you will be out on the floor working hands on with your maintenance techs about 10% of the time, and leading and inspecting their work about 40%. You will need to show you have experience building and growing maintenance teams. The other 50% of your time will be working at your desk. You will also need to show you can implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize operational reliability and minimize downtime. 

∙ Manages daily maintenance operations with a team of 4-5 technicians, handling all facility maintenance work and personnel matters including company policy administration.


∙ Monitors department performance, implements productivity improvements, and takes corrective action as needed.


∙ Repairs equipment to quality standards while optimizing cost and reliability.


∙ Develops and maintains preventive maintenance schedules for all plant and mobile equipment, coordinating with production to minimize downtime.


∙ Trains equipment operators on proper procedures to prevent equipment abuse and premature wear.

Requirements

• Hands on and small team maintenance leadership experience working on some of these systems; control systems, conveyor, heavy equipment, overhead cranes, fork lifts, tractors, motors, gear boxes, diesel, heavy industrial equipment 
  
• Experience either in an industrial environment or similar military experience
  
• Ability to coach, train and grow maintenance team
