Maintenance Manager - Assisted Living

Position Overview

Providence Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations within our assisted living community. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with general repairs, painting, lifting, and upkeep of facility equipment, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and coordinate the facility's preventative maintenance program.


• Assist with building repairs, maintenance projects, and equipment upkeep.


• Ensure maintenance operations comply with applicable Mississippi (MS) and Arkansas (AR) assisted living regulations, as appropriate.


• Coordinate and conduct required fire and disaster drills.


• Maintain required maintenance documentation and inspection records.


• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy, including painting, HVAC checks, and fixture repairs.


• Paint and maintain interior and exterior areas of the community.


• Report unsafe equipment or hazardous conditions immediately.


• Maintain confidentiality of resident, personnel, and business information.


• Promote Providence Assisted Living in a professional and positive manner.


• Attend required meetings and in-services.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience as an Assisted Living Maintenance Manager or similar role.


• Proficient in general maintenance tasks including lifting, painting, and general fixes.


• Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.


• Ability to follow and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance.


• Strong organizational skills to maintain maintenance schedules and documentation.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and residents.


• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and manual labor.
