Description

IMG Livermore, an Ichor Systems company, is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager to support its growing CNC manufacturing operation in Livermore, CA. This role will lead and oversee CNC equipment, CMM/metrology systems, facility infrastructure, and production support systems with a focus on reliability, safety, quality, and uptime. The Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance technicians, manage contractors and vendors, drive CMMS utilization, and establish preventative and predictive maintenance programs that support production growth and customer commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise maintenance technicians responsible for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machining centers, CMM/metrology equipment, production support equipment, and facility systems.
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including CMMS work orders, equipment records, PM schedules, maintenance history, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze equipment failures and downtime and implement root-cause and continuous-improvement actions to improve uptime, reliability, safety, and efficiency.
  • Plan and manage equipment repairs, installations, shutdowns, facility upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Develop operating and capital budgets and manage contractors, OEMs, vendors, service providers, purchasing, and critical spare parts.
  • Assess facility conditions and maintain infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, electrical, fire protection, and building automation systems.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, EH&S, Quality, and other functions to support production and resolve equipment and facility issues.
  • Support AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory audits and ensure compliance with OSHA/Cal-OSHA, EPA, NFPA, environmental, building, fire, and ITAR requirements.
  • Develop emergency response and business continuity plans.
  • Determine staffing needs; hire, train, coach, assign priorities, allocate resources, and evaluate maintenance personnel.
  • Standardize maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and identify opportunities to improve processes, reliability, and technician capability.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of facilities or equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs, facility infrastructure, capital projects, contractors, and budgets.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, compressed air, fire protection, and building systems.
  • Experience with CNC equipment and precision manufacturing environments; familiarity with Haas, Fanuc Robodrill, Matsuura, Okuma, Mazak, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting CMMs, metrology, and precision inspection equipment.
  • Experience with CMMS, preventive/predictive maintenance, work order management, and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, reliability-centered maintenance, or structured downtime reduction.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, OSHA/Cal-OSHA, EPA, NFPA, environmental requirements, and applicable building and fire codes.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, employee development, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance/ERP systems; Global Shop Solutions experience preferred.
  • Ability to establish processes, prioritize work, allocate resources, and execute objectives in environments where procedures may not yet be defined.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • IFMA FMP or CFM, BOMI, or PMP certification.

 

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, coolants, and temperature variations.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
  • Work performed in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, applicable NADCAP requirements, and company quality standards.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and operate equipment controls.
  • Ability to visually inspect equipment and parts and read precision measuring instruments.

 

ITAR ONLY 
The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation. Due to ITAR regulations, Ichor Systems is only able to employ US Persons. A US person is a lawful permanent resident (immigrant with “green card” permanent authorization to work document) or who is a protected person (a citizen, a national, a refugee, or a person granted asylum). Non-citizens with other visas are not eligible for hire at this location. 

For CA candidates: The pay range for this full-time position is 116,300 – 197,700,  exempt per year. 

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
