Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently seeking for Maintenance Mechanics for 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), who will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mail and bindery production equipment within the facility, ensuring that down time is keep to a minimum. Machinery involved includes CMC/W&D/ and Bell & Howell inserters, DPI/Scitex/ Jet inkjet printers, Kirk Rudy Tabbers and Stackers, Folding and Affixing equipment, vacuum bases, hot melt glue systems, friction feeders and various other finishing equipment.

Job Duties:

1. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant mail and bindery equipment.

2. Conducts regular inspections of production equipment and performs daily preventive maintenance duties on plant equipment.

3. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

4. Assist and train operators in proper set-up procedures.

5. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

7. Report all safety hazards to shift supervisor and maintenance manager. 

8. Self-motivated – requires minimal supervision.

9. Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Experience/ Education/ Physical requirements:

1. No experience necessary, but 3-5 years preferred in maintaining mail and bindery equipment.

2. Ability to work in a team environment.

3. Intermediate level of computer skills

4. Good oral communication skills in conversing with employees 

5. Must be able to work extended shifts and weekend hours when needed.

6. Ability to lift 50 lbs.+

7. Provide your own tools.

8. Bi-lingual speaking a plus
