As a Parts Clerk I, you’ll support the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) team by helping ensure parts, supplies, and inventory are received, organized, tracked, and distributed accurately. It’s a hands-on role for someone who enjoys helping people, keeping things organized, solving everyday problems, and working independently.

You won’t spend your entire shift behind a desk—or your entire shift on the warehouse floor. The position is approximately 50% physical and 50% clerical/administrative, giving you a combination of inventory, computer, customer-service, and hands-on responsibilities.

Your work helps maintenance and operations teams get the parts and supplies they need to support production.

You’ll contribute to inventory accuracy, coordinate the movement of parts, respond to requests, and help keep the MRO area safe and organized. When something doesn’t look right, whether it’s an inventory discrepancy, vending-machine issue, delivery question, or facility concern, you’ll help investigate the situation, communicate it, and move it toward resolution.

What You’ll Do

• Support maintenance and operations team members at the parts counter.


• Retrieve, issue, and distribute parts and supplies accurately and efficiently.


• Receive incoming deliveries and identify parts, packages, purchase orders, and destinations.


• Coordinate and track parts transfers between company facilities.


• Process UPS and other outbound shipments.


• Perform cycle counts and support inventory-control processes.


• Troubleshoot vending-machine inventory issues.


• Respond promptly to production and maintenance requests.


• Communicate shift updates, concerns, and operational priorities.


• Help coordinate facility concerns involving areas such as plumbing, electrical, leaks, and janitorial needs.


• Monitor departmental equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.


• Support housekeeping, perimeter inspections, pallet management, and 5S initiatives.


• Identify and communicate safety concerns and escalate operational issues when appropriate.

• You’ll have variety. One part of your day may involve helping someone find a critical part, while another involves receiving a shipment, completing a cycle count, troubleshooting an inventory issue, or coordinating a transfer.

• You’ll solve problems. The role calls for someone who can think through issues and complete assignments with minimal supervision.


• You’ll work across teams. You’ll interact with Maintenance, Operations, and other departments rather than working in isolation.


• You can bring transferable experience. Direct MRO experience is preferred, not listed as mandatory. Experience in maintenance storerooms, warehouse operations, manufacturing parts, or related environments can be relevant, and forklift training can be provided if needed.

What We’re Looking For

You could be a strong fit if you’re someone who takes pride in getting the details right while still moving with urgency.

You should be comfortable using basic computer systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, communicating with different teams, managing competing priorities, and working independently. You’ll also need to be comfortable with the physical side of the position, including occasional heavy lifting.

Experience with SAP inventory/purchasing systems, MRO inventory, maintenance storerooms, warehouse operations, manufacturing parts, mechanical work, or forklifts is preferred and can help you get up to speed faster.
