Job Description - Maintenance Planner

The role of the Maintenance Planner at LignoTech Florida is to optimize technician productivity through best-practice planning and scheduling methods that ensure safe, reliable plant operation. The planner will be the principal contact and liaison person between maintenance, operations, contracted labor, and other supported departments. The individual will be responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning and scheduling of work to improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and scheduling of labor, parts and material, and equipment access.

Key Activities/Duties/Tasks:

  • Support and further improve a proactive safety, health and environmental system that meets the required standards
  • Accountable for all spare parts
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of down days and outages (including material and labor)
  • Manages and updates SAP information related to maintenance (equipment table, PM task revision)
  • Coordinates utilizing outside contractors to supplement workforce (when required)
  • Review of daily electrical and mechanical equipment inspections to ensure necessary follow-up work orders/requests are created and completed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • MUST HAVE Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology Degree
  • 5+ years in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment with a background in maintenance planning/scheduling

Preferred:

  • Planning and scheduling experience
  • Experience utilizing SAP
