Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance work for the facility. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing plans and using resources to conduct maintenance activities in a manner which would minimize plant downtime and maximize efficiency, while maintaining a high focus of safety in mind. The Maintenance Planner will also be required to follow all safety policies and perform their duty in a safe manner. 

Below is a listing of the job functions this position performs:

• Ensure preventative maintenance plans are scheduled on equipment
• Build detailed job plans to accomplish maintenance activities
• Open and review work orders for maintenance activities
• Work with Storeroom on inventory control
• Work with Maintenance Technicians to review issues/requests for the facility
• Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and technical service providers
• Design documentation methods – (paper/electronic files) for record control of equipment maintenance history
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Good communication & written skills
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Maintenance processes and strategies
• Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyance, & electrical systems
• Good knowledge of production equipment 
• Ability to work in loud noise environments
• Ability to work in dusty environments
• Ability to work in elevated areas above 4 feet when necessary 
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting of up to 30lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely. 
• Ability to adhere to all PPE policies

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 2-year associates degree preferred 
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Normal Office      

Heavy work (lift 30-50 lbs.)

Light work (lift 10 lbs.)     

Very heavy work (lift over 50 lbs.)

xMedium work (lift 11-30 lbs.)   

Other physical requirements (note):

• Ability to work in loud environments
• Ability to work in dusty environments
• Ability to perform duties such as bending, lifting, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely
• Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle
