Job Description - Maintenance Planner

At Vallourec, we are seeking individuals whose passion and dedication match the strength and resilience of the steel we produce. The Maintenance Planner Scheduler is responsible for managing the planning and scheduling of preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities while supporting the efficiency and reliability of operations.


Your Role at a Glance 


- Manage all spare parts, including kit building and satellite warehousing.


- Update and maintain CMMS documentation such as drawings, lockout/tagout instructions, spare parts codes, and critical tasks.


- Plan and schedule down days and outages, including materials and labor coordination.


- Serve as a technical resource for maintenance supervisors by generating CMMS reports, revising drawings, fulfilling inventory requests, and preparing monthly cost reports.


- Manage and revise SAP maintenance information (maintenance plans, PM task lists, etc.).


- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors as needed.


- Maintain maintenance cost and delay reports.


- Review inspection reports to ensure follow-up work orders are issued and completed.


- Ensure 5S compliance within assigned area.


- Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams (CITs).


- Maintain the maintenance budget for the assigned area.


- Meet daily with operations personnel to ensure work requests are addressed.


- Oversee equipment repairs and manage requisitions and quotes.


What Sets You Apart


We’re looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:


- Ability to interpret safety rules, technical instructions, and procedure manuals.


- Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.


- Mechanical comprehension and applied problem-solving skills.


- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance planning/scheduling.


- Preferred: 2-year technical degree in a related field.


- Competencies including teamwork, adaptability, accountability, dependability, initiative, safety awareness, communication, attention to detail, and continuous improvement mindset.
