Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4:30pm

Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role of the Maintenance Planner is to manage the planning activities of the maintenance department. You will be responsible for planning corrective and preventive work orders with the internal maintenance team and external vendors.  You will work closely with vendors to ensure that we maintain the adequate stock for equipment repairs and upgrades.  

In your role, your main responsibilities will be:

• Ensure and optimize the monitoring and documentation of an up-to-date preventive maintenance program.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to be performed on each shift.
• Coordinate equipment rebuilding tasks during shutdown periods (maintenance period).
• Define and communicate the scope of work for projects both internally and externally.
• Participating, with the maintenance supervisor and/or manager, in purchasing parts, receiving and inventory management.
• Work closely with production teams for scheduling preventive maintenance work and equipment upgrades.
• Follow-up with and schedule subcontractors and external service calls.
• Create and track department work orders.
• Review and prioritize all incoming work requests and view work on site for clarification of work to be performed.
• Maintain all equipment documentation and manuals.
• Follow up on the inspection reports related to the facility and equipment to ensure smooth operation and compliance.
• Ensure that we have the necessary maintenance parts in stock. 
• Maintain the proper min/max levels of parts identifying the consumption rates and lead times with vendors.
• Research parts through manuals, drawings and RFI’s to vendors. 
• Follow-up directly with vendors to cross reference new parts and updates.
• May be required to work outside normal business hours to handle emergencies or ensure that maintenance work does not interfere with regular operations.

• Experience in manufacturing and industrial maintenance tasks and ordering and purchasing parts.
• Understand the different parts used in manufacturing and industrial maintenance.
• Experience with operating forklifts and manlifts.
• Experienced in precision measurements, tools and industrial equipment terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft AX (highly preferred).
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts.
• Excellent organization, planning and execution skills.
