The Maintenance Planning & Reliability Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), monitoring of maintenance performance metrics, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
This position plays a key role in ensuring maintenance work is properly planned and executed efficiently. The Maintenance Planning & Reliability Coordinator prepares detailed job plans and job kits, coordinates the availability of critical spare parts, optimizes preventive maintenance programs, and analyzes maintenance data to improve equipment reliability, plant performance, and overall maintenance effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities to support production requirements and maximize equipment uptime.
Develop detailed maintenance job plans, including labor requirements, materials, tools, permits, and estimated job durations.
Prepare and maintain weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with Operations and Maintenance teams.
Lead maintenance planning meetings with Operations to align priorities, resources, and production requirements.
Ensure planned work orders are fully scoped and execution-ready before scheduling.
Administer and maintain the site's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ensure work orders, asset information, preventive maintenance tasks, spare parts inventory, and maintenance history are accurate and current.
Generate and analyze maintenance reports and data to support operational and business decisions.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in monitoring and evaluating maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Analyze maintenance trends and identify opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness, equipment reliability, and asset performance.
Evaluate preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and recommend opportunities to streamline activities, eliminate non-value-added work, and improve reliability.
Promote maintenance best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with the Purchasing Coordinator and Maintenance Manager to identify critical spare parts and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
Ensure maintenance job kits are prepared, complete, and available prior to scheduled work.
Analyze equipment failures, maintenance performance, and work management processes to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, Reliability, or Industrial Maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance planning experience may be considered.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, MP2, FIIX Maintenance, Maintenance Connection, or a similar platform.
Strong understanding of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) principles.
Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional activities among Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, and vendors.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize competing maintenance requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
Experience with maintenance performance metrics, reliability improvement initiatives, and maintenance work management processes.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position is based at our manufacturing plant located in Waco, Texas.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and fabrication environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and machinery while properly utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
