Maintenance Pool - Material Handler

Job Summary:

Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting department goals for customer orders by taking care of materials and finished goods to be moved to the Warehouse.   

Available shifts: 

2nd (3pm - 11pm) 

3rd (11pm - 7pm)

Essential Functions:

• Operate Forklift to move the finished product from JBC and Seasoning Packaging to Warehouse.


• Supply empty pallets and materials to pack lines as needed to keep packing lines operating.


• Supply and make boxes/bags to the JBC and Seasoning Packaging departments.


• Required to assist in re-stacking as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet. 


• Completes paperwork as needed. 


• Must maintain integrity of raw materials.


• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts.


• Must Keep area and equipment clean.


• Must be able to lift 25 – 55 lbs.


• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including proficient operation of sit-down forklift.  Minimum 1-year forklift experience.


• Food manufacturing environment experience a plus.

Work Environment:

The job is performed in the production area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
